Debt Consolidation Relief Is In Site But Can It Be Trusted?

Are you like many of the countless millions of consumers that are swamped with a large amount of consumer debt with no relief in site? Does your financial situation paint a picture of more bills then you can actually afford to pay? Does your rising debt cause a state of tension between family friends your bank and creditors? How about your state of mental health or even your physical health? Financial worries can quickly and easily create more problems in your life due in large part to the strain placed on your emotional well being. There may be a source of debt relief that can help get you back on your way to financial freedom and out of the rat race of financial distress. Its commonly known as debt consolidation.

Debt consolidation is the process of combining all of your current monthly outstanding bills into one monthly payment that in theory should be easier to manage and help keep you from suffering more stress induced by financial distress. Sometimes debt consolidation is also referred to as debt relief or debt negotiation. No matter what its called the process remains the same combining your debt into a manageable source in order to allow the consumer (you) time to deal with your creditors with the hope of lowering your interest rates eliminating your debts entirely or just buying more time to pay your bills off completely. Probably the best gain from a debt consolidation system is the ability to keep the creditors from harassing you on an everyday basis. The peace of mind and serenity achieved from eliminating the nagging calls from creditors is what probably entices most folks to seek out debt relief help with a debt consolidation company.

If youve spent any amount of time on the internet searching for debt consolidation news or information then you probably already know that many people advocate that the only thing a debt consolidation company does for you is add more to your current outstanding debt instead of the promised debt relief as advertised. One thing is for sure even if you decide to use a debt consolidation company or if you decide to apply for a debt consolidation loan you must do your homework and research. After all the intent I to get rid of your bills not make yourself more financially bankrupt. You may already know this but the debt consolidation company charges a small fee to help get you back on track with your finances.

One way to find a reputable debt consolidation and relief company is to obtain the information on the company from the Better Business Bureau. At the very least you can find out if there have been any complaints against the debt negotiation company and whether or not they are under any type of investigation for any acts of financial fraud. After determining which debt consolidation company will assist you in your quest to eliminate your financial stress you may also need to choose which debt consolidation specialist will help you. Dont be afraid to ask questions about their success rate with previous clients. After all they will be asking you many questions regarding your private financial data such as what type of rates are you looking for what type of financial help do you need and will you need assistance with creditors or bank loan officers.

As you can see there are many things to consider when searching for debt relief through a reputable debt consolidation company. Do your research and youll be able to find a debt consolidation specialist that will be able to help you achieve financial security and eliminate debt induced stress.

New Goodies At Google

Search giant Google.com recently expanded their reach yet again by offering new and expanded services going far beyond simply searching the Internet for relevant information.

Jumping on a growing bandwagon already teaming with millions of active users Google now offers its own SMS search service to allow mobile phone users access to their database.

Google also released “Desktop 2″ a personal information manager that resides on your desktop to organize everything from rss feeds and stock quotes to photos and the weather.

Make no mistake though Google seems to possess an uncanny ability to make things useful and “cool” these latest offerings represent Google staking out territory on your desktop against rivals Microsoft and Yahoo!

** Google Expands Desktop **

Originally the Google Desktop program simply organized your files emails and web searches into one place.

When you looked from a certain file or topic on your system the program returned relevant results from files on your hard drive email correspondence and past web search history.

The new version of Google Desktop expands significantly over the original version by including a host of new services designed to create your own “personal information manager” right on your computer’s desktop.

Probably the most obvious change is the “Sidebar” which makes a significant new addition to the tool.

The Sidebar allows you immediate access not only to information on your hard drive but to specialized online information based on your preferences and viewing habits.

The Sidebar also incorporates an RSS feed reader making it extremely simple for even complete novices to subscribe to and read news feeds from the web.

Many would think this one feature of a simple rss reader represents a direct step to grab the general consumer before Microsoft can launch their Longhorn browser (which will contain an rss reader).

Other additions include a news ticker real time stock quotes photo viewer quickfind feature with the ability to launch programs just by typing in a few letters and a scratch pad.

Google definitely upgraded this previously limited program to create a very handy personal organizer for your computer’s desktop. Log on to http://desktop.google.com to download a free copy.

** Google Goes Mobile **

If you fall into the over30 age range you probably didn’t know that “SMS” stands for “Short Message Service.”

Yet SMS comprises one of the fastest growing areas of all communication on the planet.

Millions of people use SMS on their cell phones to communicate as well as gather information.

Log on to http://www.google.com/sms/ to discover how Google can now help you get information through your cell phone fast and free.

Get everything from driving directions local business listings and movie showtimes to local weather conditions dictionary definitions and even product pricing.

Imagine walking into a store spotting an item you want to buy and before purchasing it know exactly how much you could snag it for online.

Picture yourself in an unfamiliar town and getting driving directions to the local Walmart. Google also operates a new home page just for mobile users at http://www.google.com/mobile/.

Watch for this area of online services to expand massively in the near future.

A Great Testimonial Is Worth A Thousand Cold Calls

If you hate cold calling and even if you don’t you should start capitalizing on the work youve already done.

So often we dont utilize one of the most persuasive selling components in our marketing materials the words of our own clients. Many creative people have wonderful testimonials from clients but never use them for fear that they are bragging or that it is too self promotional.

Of course its self promotional! Thats what good marketing is!

When you are finished a project for a client why not capture that moment in the client’s own words to use for showing potential clients the value of your services? Testimonials are even more crucial for creative businesses because it is more difficult for the average person to set a value on most arts related items and services. Seeing others talk about the value of working with you will help them more readily understand the value of your work.

If your client doesnt come running to you with a testimonial then ask her for one. There is nothing wrong with that and most clients are honored you asked them.

The best testimonials are ones that show a measurable goal has been reached and uses language that your potential clients can identify with.

For example here is a testimonial I received from a client who is an artist:

I just recently got back from ajob I did up in Cape Cod worth over 11000 and it is because I used the techniques I learned from you to turn a consultation into my biggest job ever.

Amy Ketteran Ketteran Studios

Here’s another example of a testimonial I received from a corporate client:

“My improved confidence/speaking skills has helped my career as well as Verizon Connected Solutions since we are now working on developing partnerships/joint ventures with some large manufacturers and I am involved with seminars to promote these potential partnerships. Since I began working with Kirstin Ive had several speaking opportunities and I can tell you her methods work. In fact because of my work with Kirstin I gave testimony in court that caused VCS to win a nearly 1 million lawsuit with customer who refused to pay. I cant thank Kirstin enough!”

Ed Ruby Director of Business Operations

Verizon Connected Solutions

If you have testimonials but they are not measurable then they arent as persuasive as they need to be in order to sell a future client. To get measurable testimonials all you have to do is ask for them. If you receive a testimonial from a client that isnt measurable and doesnt show a specific example of how that client has improved since working with you then thank the client for the kind comments and ask him to narrow down the success to one or two specific items that are improved due to your work together.

You can respond with something like:

Thanks for your feedback. Its wonderful to hear about your success. What specifically has improved during our work together? Were you able to measure the difference?

The more measurable the testimonial and the more the client speaks in his own words the more persuasive it is to the potential client and the easier it is to generate new business.

Review your client list and look back over recent projects. Ask your best clients for measurable testimonials. Its a whole lot easier than making a cold call!
